The Jubliee walk takes you on walking tour of London’s most iconic landmarks. It was initially designed to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and the original route connected all of the city’s most famous sights, from Buckingham Palace to St St Paul’s Cathedral.
Now, inspired by the London 2012 Olympic games and the forthcoming celebrations of Her Majesty’s 60 years reign with The Diamond Jubilee the walk is now longer, exactly 60 kilometres long, one kilometre for each year of Her Majesty’s reign. The Jubilee Greenway Walk which is popular with cyclists as well as walkers is currently being waymarked so taking a map would be wise until work is complete.
