Earls Court – Ideal Home Show 2012

The Ideal Home Show is back at Earls Court London for its 2012 exhibition. Running from 16th March – 1st April the multi-award winning event will be bigger than ever. You will find over 600 exhibitors from all over the UK offering all the latest on home gadgets, latest house ware accessories, gardens and home improvements.

This year the show will also be hosted by the celebrity TV presenter and architect George Clarke, gadget expert Suzi Perry and food critic Gregg Wallace. There will also be some new faces which have yet to be announced. So if you are looking for inspiration for a home project, come along to this 17 day event and get expert advice and watch some of the live demonstrations.

The exhibition is open from 10am-6pm and untill 9pm on Thursdays. The admission cost for adults is £16.50 on the door during the week, or if you book in advance the cost will be Weekday £12 in. At the weekend it is £14 in advance or £18.50 at the door. Over 60′s can get in for £12 in the week and £14 at the weekends. Chidren under 15 can get in free.

The Pajama Men – In The Middle of No One

An award-winning fast-paced comedy thriller about love, alien abduction and the spirit of adventure. It runs for a hour this Friday and Saturday at 5.30pm and evenings Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm at Charing Cross Theatre.

The Wizard of Oz

Located at the London Palladium and runs for 2 hours and 45 mintutes. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all time classic.

Phantom of the Opera

Another great production from Andrew Lloyd Webber which is now in its record breaking 26th year. Running for 2 hours and 30 mintures this coming weekend at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Mamma Mia!

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs telling tales of family and friendship which unfolds on a Greek Island paradise. Running for 2 hours 45 minutes at the Novello Theatre.

We Will Rock You
Having seen this myself I can tell you it is a show NOT to be missed. This mega-musical has been seen by over 5 million people. It includes 32 of Queen’s classic hits, including Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga. Running at the Dominion Theatre this weekend.

Harry Potter Themed Tours

Those planning on visiting England for a vacation can find lots of themed tours for all things Harry Potter related. There are walking tours, studio tours all dedicated to the makings of the Harry Potter films. You can book a two day tour which takes in Gloucester, Lacock, London and Oxford. The first day of the tour will take you from central London you will see Gloucester Cathedral which is where numerous scenes were filmed. The Jubilee Greenway Walk

The Jubliee walk takes you on walking tour of London’s most iconic landmarks. It was initially designed to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and the original route connected all of the city’s most famous sights, from Buckingham Palace to St St Paul’s Cathedral.

Now, inspired by the London 2012 Olympic games and the forthcoming celebrations of Her Majesty’s 60 years reign with The Diamond Jubilee the walk is now longer, exactly 60 kilometres long, one kilometre for each year of Her Majesty’s reign. The Jubilee Greenway Walk which is popular with cyclists as well as walkers is currently being waymarked so taking a map would be wise until work is complete. The Real Woman in Black London Ghost Walk

See the Real Woman in Black London Ghost Walk from Great British Tours. The latest film starring Daniel Radcliffe hits the cinemas in the UK on February 10th. The film was written by Jane Goldman, and is based on Susan Hill’s novel of the same name. It is produced (not surprisingly) by Hammer Film Productions.

MasterChef Live and The Wine Show at Olympia this weekend..

This year MasterChef Live will be running alongside The Wine Show which makes perfect sense. You can combine both passions together at the Olympia Grand Hall from the 11-13 November.

This is a great opportunity for fans to see some of their favourite faces from MasterChef. They will be live on stage cooking up a storm. There will be plenty of opportunity to watch many live demonstrations and learn from a wide range of cooking skills.
